Samyukta Shankar

Community Law Project - Paralegal

Hello, my name is Samyukta Shankar. I am currently a third year Law undergraduate at the Army Institute of Law, India. When the pandemic struck the world in the early months of 2020, I got to witness the distraught of those less privileged than me, not just in my home country but around the world. It made me realise that even though the whole world was suffering together there were people who were more vulnerable. For me law has been one place where everybody is an equal, where everybody has an equal right, and an equal voice. There is no bias, no judgement in the law, and this has been a constant driving force for me. Through this project my aim is to help/assist people to the best of my abilities and to bring a change (for the better) no matter how small in their lives. Apart from this in my free time I like reading stories of people and the world that inspires them. My areas of interest include Intellectual Property Law, Contract Law, Dispute Resolution and Public Policy.
